Brew and drink from a single device with the Pipamoka all-in-one nomadic coffee maker. Simple, sturdy and brilliant pressure brewer, it becomes super easy and quick to fuel your days and enjoy hours of hot, freshly-brewed coffee during your commutes, work hours or adventures. Designed and engineered by Wacaco, Pipamoka packs every tool you need to prepare and enjoy a perfectly balanced coffee. A new experience distilled right into your cup, anytime, anywhere.
Capable to extract in no time a cup of coffee, Pipamoka brewing technics set it apart from other devices. Its patented construction, paired with its innovative twisting mechanism, generates vacuum pressure inside the mug. This negative pressure generated a suction force that draws hot water downwards through the coffee grounds. The coffee is then brewed directly into the insulated thermal mug where it will stay hot for hours. Pipamoka's new coffee-making method makes a clean, full-flavored cup of coffee in about two minutes.
Pipamoka uses a permanent micro-filter mesh (no need paper filters so you will save a few bucks and limit your waste) in order to let the precious natural oils present in the ground pass into the cup, contributing to richer flavors. Brew ratio is similar to standard drip or infusion methods, close to 1:15 (1 g of coffee ground for 15 mL of water). We recommend using a medium to medium-coarse grind for optimal brewing performance.
REMARK: Pipamoka does not heat up water.了解更多

I'm a big fan of the Nanopresso; in fact, I use it every day, despite having access to several plug-in espresso machines. I find I can make coffee just as quickly; I like the hands-on, approach, I find the cleanup to be quick and easy. I fell in love after I sold my house and went to live in a trailer for five months -- now that I've moved to Europe I still haven't lost the love. Based on that, I was prepared to love the PipaMoka, too. And there are some things I do love: the build is solid, the look and feel are sleek and comfortable. There is nothing flimsy about it. Three stars right there. An extra star for its portability; this is ideal for my suitcase for travelling. But the workings are a bit over-hyped. The coffee quality is definitely not espresso-like. It is French-press quality (basically, that's what this is, although you might call it "French-pull". It pulls the coffee through the water, in a well-designed filter. I like the "thermos" aspect, and that's why it makes a good travel device, but I don't need to carry coffee around that much. It's so-so as a thermal drinking cup (good heat retention, no sipping lid). It's in my suitcase, but I think I'd often pull it out to bring the Nanopresso (same size, weight, etc.) That keeps it hovering at four stars, because it doesn't really offer any features I didn't already have. However ... I would give it as a gift. The build, look and feel are not cheap. I know people who would like to press/pull their coffee, and don't dare carry a glass press with them (I did, for years). And only geeks carry coffee presses that go into Nalgene bottles (I did, for years, and still do on kayak trips). But the Nanopresso gets people talking, and envying. The Pipamoka, not so much.
My husband is yet to use the Pipamoka on his trail walk but he is very pleased with its ease and functionality.
